RECYCLING IN HOSPITAL ENVIRONMENT
This is a modular carrier for boxes and bags developed in cooperation with one of the largest hospitals in Stockholm.

The design is flexible to meet the needs from different departments in the hospital. I did user research to find product requirements and was in charge of the design and development.

The hospital in Stockholm is an important customer for San Sac and they identified a need internally to increase recycling specifically in surgery rooms. During surgery a lot of waste is generated, but sorting the waste is almost impossible.
This carrier with tilted boxes is very space efficient and can be positioned in an advocate position for the surgeon and staff to reach and access quickly.
It can also be equipped with boxes for biologically hazardous, contagious or contaminated waste as well as special equipment for needles and scalps.
